Maybe you’ve conquered Space Mountain… but have you conquered Cyberspace Mountain?
Step One: When you step up to one of these, you get to choose the features of your coaster :).
Step Seven: Proceed to your assigned room where you climb into a simulator and your coaster comes to life! Cameras are not allowed in this portion (not because of photography limitations, but because you can’t bring in any loose items for fear of them falling off of you and returning back to clunk you on the head ;) ).
It really is a blast! The simulation is more than just a screen – your simulation vehicle really goes through the movements you’ve assigned it. So, if you have a loop, it spins you upside-down. Depending on your design, things can get pretty intense. And allow me to say, we had a loop-de-loop and went “lightning fast,” and our score on the Thrill-o-Meter was only a TWO.
Disney Quest has a few more headliner attractions, too. You can fight dreaded pirates on your own pirate ship or navigate a virtual Magic Carpet. But my favorite part was totally Old School. There are ENTIRE BANKS of 80s arcade games… and you don’t have to worry about that old 80s problem of “Do I have enough quarters?” because these games are included with the price of admission. WOOT!
All the old favorites are there… Galaga, Galaxian, Centipede, Millipede, Ms. Pacman… you name it. And I don’t want to brag, but SOMEONE may have achieved the 2nd highest score on FROGGER!!!
Whether you go old school, new school, or mix it all up, I hope you have a blast at Disney Quest!
