Wow! Thanks for sharing! I consider myself a Disney World fanatic and there are things on your list I didn’t know about. That’s one of the many reasons I keep going back to Disney World. All the familiar stuff is awesome (it feels like home), but there are so many layers to explore. I can’t wait to read about your adventures! Good luck!
Welcome, Patrice :)! Thanks so much for following along–maybe I’ll see you in the World sometime :)…
I love this!! I think you may have inspired me to make my own list 🙂
You’ve inspired me to add “Find the Five-Legged goat” to mine :)!
Awesome! Yes he is very special! Please find me on facebook if you are on there too… http://www.facebook.com/disneyways
I hope to see you! 🙂
Of course this list could be 500 things and you’d never do everything you wold like at WDW! The only thing that was conspicuously missing for me was the Beers Around the World Adventure (one in each country) at EPCOT. So if you need any pointers- I have conquered that challenge. Granted, it took me three days… three GLORIOUS days…
Oooh… that’s a good one!! Any that you thought were the best of the best?
This one is my dream… The Disney Food Blog Cupcake Crawl!
http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2011/05/30/challenge-the-disney-food-blog-wdw-cupcake-crawl/
Thank you for sharing your list. I have printed it out as there are some ideas on there I have never heard of. People don’t understand why I keep going back to WDW. It’s all the hidden surprises that it has to offer!
I heard of your blog while listening to you on Be Our Guest Podcast. I really enjoyed all the information you gave. Thank you for taking your time to be on the show 🙂
Thank you, Erica–that is so sweet! It’s great to “meet” you :)! I’m so glad I got to do the show, everyone at BOGP is so great–thanks for listening!
I hear you–I think a lot of people just think it’s a few theme parks and that’s that. But there really are experiences and surprises for absolutely everyone, and those of us who love it all are kindred spirits :). Maybe I’ll see you there sometime!!
This really is a great idea, and a fun blog site. I’ll enjoy reading all of them, and do hope you will some day do all 100!
Oh my goodness–that is so kind… THANK YOU :)! I really appreciate the well wishes, too, and am hoping for a little extra pixie dust to accomplish all of it ;)! Thanks so much for following along!
thank you for sharing..i heard you on the Be Our Guest Podcast this week talking about staying at Fort Wilderness and I had to check out your list. I printed a copy so that I can investigate some of the ideas a little more in planning for our disney cruise and stay at the parks in February 2013. It also inspired my 9 year old, 4 year old boys and myself to make our own “Bucket List” for this upcoming trip…thanks for the great ideas…
Hi, Lori :)! Thank you so much for your note–I can’t tell you how much your comment means to me, hearing about you and your boys building your own Disney Bucket Lists :)! I hope it helps you all look forward to your upcoming trip all that much more. Wow… the Fantasy AND the Parks… way to go :)! I’ll look forward to hopefully hearing about your trip when you return… thank you again for this, it really made me smile :)!
Hey! Quick question about one of the items on the list: When do they run the Castaway Cay 5K? Is it with every cruise or just at special times. We’re going to be on Castaway Cay next year and I should probably start training! 😛
YAY!! This sounds SO super fun… from what I understand, there is still no guarantee that they will hold it, but it’s become so popular that they seem to be holding it lately with every stop on Castaway Cay, no matter the length of the cruise. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, because I’ve only got one shot to knock it off my list ;)! So I keep checking everywhere I can to make sure…
It’s nothing you can pre-register for–at least not yet. Currently, when you receive your Personal Navigator cruise newsletter the day before your CC stop, they will let you know where you can meet up if you’d like to run it. It’s also still free as I write this–HOORAY! AND everyone gets a Mickey medal–so why I just signed up for the full WDW marathon is beyond me at this point ;).
This will be your first 5K, is that right? How cool if your very first one is international!!
Wow, my kids think we are the only “weird” family that keeps a list of our Disney To Do list.
:)! You are not alone… I’m proud to be “weird” along with you ;). Thanks for stopping by!
What a brilliant idea!!!
Thanks, Lucy :)! Hopefully we’ll run into each other at a Disney race one of these days… I’m excited to follow your training!
Wow great list. I need to make a list. I have done some of the things on your list but some I need on my list. This Oct we will be going on our first cruise, the Dream, and I plan on doing the Castaway 5K. ANd also our first Food & Wine at Epcot. I am so excited. After our cruise we will be staying at the Poly and we plan on watching Wishes for the first time on the Poly beach.
Thank you for giving me a great idea of making a Disney bucket list.
Oh, WOW–that sounds like a GREAT trip :)! I would love to hear about the Castaway Cay 5K after you run it–it sounds like so much fun! I hope you have a beautiful time on the Dream… I’m sure you will! Thanks so much for stopping by, Lynn :)!
Looks like I have done 35.5 items off your list (1/2 because I have done a race through only 2 of the 4 parks so far). Some things just might not apply to me – unless I run into your husband at the parks some time – LOL!
Yup – might have to make up my own list!
Ha :)! You could probably beat my husband at Toy Story Midway Mania before I can… that’s one of the items I’m most concerned about not accomplishing ;)! I love that you counted, that’s awesome :). If you do make your own list, please let me know… it would be a blast to read it. I still feel like 100 isn’t even scratching the smallest surface of all there is to do! Thanks a ton for visiting :)!
great disney blog! i just started one as well! check it out here: http://goingdisney.wordpress.com/
How about watching ALL the Disney films? I still have a few to get through on the list! http://blog.bcdb.com/disney-cartoon-canon-index/
That is such a great list — thank you!! Looks like I especially need to work on the Post-Ren and Anthology eras :)!
Love your list Wendy but there is 1 event that you didn’t post on your list. The Annual Epcot Food And Wine Festival. i attend every year and it gets better and better
Actually you did i just saw it on the list. Again you enjoy Disney as much as we all do. It helps put a smile on our faces everyday.
Thanks so much for checking it out, James! I’ve been able to visit the Food & Wine Festival twice since I made this list, and it looks like you’re right… it DOES get better each year, from what I can tell! Already excited about the next go ’round… 🙂
This list has inspired me to create my own list! I would love to visit WDW … I’ve been to Anaheim twice and Tokyo once, but never Orlando. I’ll get there one day 🙂 Anyways, thanks for posting your experiences, and good luck with completing your list!
Thank you so much! Wow, I don’t know if I’ll ever get to Tokyo, I bet that was amazing :). And thank you for the good luck wishes… I send you the same, and look forward to reading more on “Philanthropist Dreams”!
This is a great idea! I also thought that I knew just about everything there is to Disney but I see there are a few more I wasn’t aware of…Time to add these to my bucket list.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great time adding to (and crossing things off) of your Disney Bucket List :)!
